The real order is…
Florida takes it — a long coastline with warm water all year. But #2 is New York, the state you probably picture as skyscrapers: it also has Long Island's shores, the Hudson River, the Finger Lakes and a Great Lakes coast. And Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes? Not even in the top 15. Lots of lakes is not the same as lots of marinas.
📚 Background Florida is one long coastline with warm water all year, so it takes #1 — but look who is second: New York, the state most people picture as skyscrapers. New York has Long Island's shores, the Hudson River, the Finger Lakes and a Great Lakes coast.
