    Texas — not the mountain state you pictured. Colorado is not even in the top 10, and Maine, which is not among the 40 most populous states, has more of these businesses than Colorado does. Here is the big catch: this table counts businesses with paid staff, so a campground run by a national forest, a national park or most state parks is mostly not in it.
